Braille Connection, Teacher's Kit A Braille Reading and Writing Program for Former Print Users
The Braille Connection: A Braille Reading and Writing Program for Former Print Users is designed to teach former adult and teenage print readers how to read braille.
Developed by APH and the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), this program moves quickly through tactual discrimination, on to Uncontracted Braille, and then through Contracted Braille. The program guides adult and teenage former print readers from tactual discrimination to Grade 1 Braille, which corresponds to print, and then through Grade 2 Braille, the standard code for braille books and magazines.
Note: Designed to be used under the supervision of a qualified braille teacher.
